The Environment Directorate has grants available to support environmental project activity.
It is important that you choose the grant that best suits your needs. Our grants are partnership or jointly funded, and each has a specific purpose. They are available to all groups and organisations in Lancashire. Brief details of the two grants we have available are set out on this page. Please use the more comprehensive guidance sheets when filling in an application form, as there are specific pieces of information we need to know.
Green Partnership Awards is a partnership between many key organisations in Lancashire. GPA is about local people carrying out practical projects to improve their local environment, its aim is to provide money and professional advice that will assist this process. Grants awarded are typically between £100 and £500.
LSSRP funding is available for projects involving local people and local groups in enhancing their environment by improving small areas of derelict, underused or neglected land. The end results can range from allotments, educational sites, wildlife habitat, playgrounds, public art or public amenity areas. There is no minimum grant, however the maximum will be around £30,000. A grant will generally be awarded for one third of total project costs.
The standard application form contained in this grants pack does not cover all the questions that need to be answered for these two specific grants. Please the links above to ensure that you provide all the information we require to make an appraisal of your application.
