Building and Design

Building Schools for the Future offers the opportunity to transform secondary education.

Brand New Schools will be built, fully equipped with state of the art facilities to meet educational needs and challenges of the 21st Century.

All the new facilities would be available for use by the wider community.

A successful Design Open Evening was held at Turf Moor, Burnley on 16 March 2006 to show students, staff, Governors and the wider community the exciting designs that have been developed.

The 2005 Design Festival gave schools the opportunity to see the range of innovative designs on offer. See a full report on the event here .

There will also be opportunitites for the local community to participate in the sharing of information through public meetings.
