Future BSF Funding

The Department for Education and Skills is committed to the BSF Programme of rebuilding and renewal to ensure that secondary education in every part of England has facilities of 21st Century standard. The aim of BSF is to deliver this goal successfully for every secondary pupil within 15 waves from 2005-6, subject to future public spending decisions.

Lancashire County Council welcomes the opportunities that the Building Schools for the Future Programme brings and has already submitted Expressions of Interest for future funding.

No Authorities have been given more than one project allocation over the first three waves of the BSF Programme but Lancashire will continue to do everything to ensure that it is included in future waves.
