Job Opportunities

Artwork

Lancashire YOT is a dynamic and growing organisation. In just over a year we have expanded our workforce from 70 to over 120. This has provided opportunities for staff to move within the YOT and for new people to join the organisation. We are always looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are looking for a career within the criminal justice field and want to work with young people. The YOT also provides an excellent opportunity to work in a truly multi agency environment. Working in the YOT can be through a secondment from the police service, education service, probation service, social services or the health service. Opportunities may also arise to join the permanent compliment of staff as a youth justice worker, part of the admin team or as a worker in one of the projects in the YOT .

If you want to work as a volunteer then there are a number of areas you can become involved in. We value volunteers and regard them as part of the YOT team, it means that individuals and communities can be involved in the work with young offenders and it may also provide opportunities and experience for future employment.

Staff are the YOT 's main resource and we invest a lot in them. We provide learning opportunities and training and encourage YOT workers to develop skills for future investment either within the YOT , in other agencies or back in their parent organisations.
