Bowland Visitor Centre
The Visitors Centre, situated adjacent to Fell House Car Park, was opened in 1995. The centre which is open seven days a week throughout the summer offers a comprehensive range of information regarding the Fell and the Forest of Bowland. In keeping with its forest setting, the Bowland Visitor Centre is built using an advanced log construction technique with a traditional slate roof. The centre provides displays and information about Beacon Fell Country Park and the Forest of Bowland Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as a general display area, a separate education / conference room is available for use by organized groups visiting the Fell. Open 7 days a week throughout the Summer months the cafè facility serves a variety of beverages, hot and cold food, light snacks, all day breakfasts, sweets and ice creams.

ENVIRONMENT ROOM
The extension to the Bowland Visitor Centre provides a wet and dry study area and cloakroom facilities for use by schools. The Countryside Service Staff based on the Fell are available to give help and support to schools who wish to participate in activities such as Minibeast Identification and Discovering the Forest Environment. If you wish to have an informal chat about your schools requirements please ring the Bowland Visitor Centre on 01995 640557.
BOOKING INFORMATION
Pond Dipping
To discuss your requirements and to make a booking please contact the Bowland Visitor Centre, Beacon Fell Country park. To book the trails and for more information about the facilities please contact the Information Assistant. The primary school trails and the orienteering tracks are designed to be used independently. If you require Ranger assistance you must book in advance. After booking, confirmation will be sent with full details of coach parking and directions to the Fell.
