Fishing on the Lake
Rowley Tip is a reclaimed Colliery Spoil heap. Reclaimed by Lancashire County Council the site now provides several footpath leading from and around the man made lake which attracts a large number of water fowl. The lake has been stocked with fish making it popular with anglers. There are picnic areas and toilet facilities and a bridleway/footpath network which links up with Towneley Coke Ovens
