The ecology service has, in consultation with other ecologists and naturalists in the County, prepared a provisional list of the rare and threatened plants currently present, or recently extinct in the County. This list formed the basis of the Flowering Plants and Ferns section of the published Biological Heritage Sites Guidelines for Site Selection.
We aim to increase our knowledge on the distribution and population size of these species to help ensure their conservation.
