The regulations covering the construction of a bridge over the adopted highway are Section 176 of the Highways Act 1980 and for the construction of a building over the adopted highway, Section 177 of the same act.
The applicant should write to:
Legal Services Group,
Office of the Chief Executive,
Lancashire County Council,
County Hall,
Preston.
to request a Licence to construct the bridge or building over the adopted highway (to Sections 176 or 177 respectively of the act).
Terms and Conditions will be attached to the Licence and it will be necessary for the Legal Representatives of the applicant and LCC to discuss the details.
