Local Transport Plan

This Delivery Report

This Delivery Report sets out the County Council's performance in delivering the outputs and meeting the targets set in our first Local Transport Plan for the period 2001/02 to 2005/06. It is required by Central Government in order to assess our performance in delivering transport services over that period and to demonstrate what has been achieved with the resources made available. It is also a report to the people who live in, work in or visit Lancashire to demonstrate the progress we have made.

The remainder of this document is structured as follows.

Chapter 2 describes the key elements of our plan delivery over the five years, how the money has been spent and what impact that has had on the county.

Chapter 3 sets out some of the ways our transport strategy has helped to deliver the wider objectives of the County Council.

Chapter 4 gives details of our progress against the core performance indicators which are monitored by all transport authorities and includes a report on our maintenance of the highway network.

Chapter 5 provides evidence of our progress in five key areas of the programme;

Finance forms giving the detailed breakdown of spending and detailed inventories of maintenance works are submitted separately to the Department for Transport.
