European Road Safety

This page last updated 20 March, 2008

In order to improve road safety the European Community has adopted a new (External) action programme for road safety (2003-2010). At the same time the (External) European Road Safety Charter aims to promote more effective measures for reducing road accidents in Europe. The target is, by 2010, to reduce the number of fatalities by 50%.

We aim to bring you the latest news from Europe on these pages and links to relevant information and legislation.
