Image of 'Driving Your Business Risk Down' folder A new CD, ‘Driving your business risk down’, looks set to become the definitive resource for anyone wanting or needing to acquire an in-depth understanding of the issues relating to occupational road risk.
The resource, which has been produced by road safety officers in the eastern region on behalf of LARSOA, was launched last week and is now available.
The CD is web-based and contains three sections of information and advice:-
Policies - suggests areas where policies should be considered, and why.
Drivers - highlights items where monitoring and control would benefit an organisation.
Vehicles - focuses on specification and documentation that may be required.
Each section also contains examples of best and worst practice, related subject links and web links.
The resource’s ‘Library’ contains relevant case histories, good practice examples, press cuttings, useful resources, a list of publications, indexed web addresses and contact details for local authority RSOs.
The ‘Toolbox’ comprises a number of items that can be copied and customised, including policy statements, vehicle and driver check lists, incident reporting forms and a driver’s handbook.
In addition, three Microsoft PowerPoint presentations are provided to explain the importance and develop the arguments for ‘Managing Occupational Road Risk’. These aim to inform and persuade senior management, line managers and employees of their roles and responsibilities.
Prices range from £25 per copy for orders up to 25 qty, to £10 per copy for orders in excess of 75 qty. All prices exclude postage and packing.
The resource can be ordered from: Graham Adams, Unit 2, Old Airfield, Warboys, Huntingdon, Cambs, PE28 2SH. Tel: 01487 822033. Fax 01487 822773. Email
