Make school journeys safe journeys

PARENTS across the county are being given tips on keeping their child safe as they take part in this year’s Walk to School Week.

Lancashire County Council’s Road Safety Group have put together the advice for parents to help make their child’s journey to school a safe one.

Clare Farrer, Deputy Group Manager, said:

“Many children may be walking to school for the first time this week and it’s really important that they know how to stay safe. Around one sixth of child road casualties are recorded as happening to or from school, however following our tips can help to prevent this.”

Top tips

The Road Safety Group are always looking for ways to improve their services and would like to hear from you about how you teach your children about road safety.
