The Road Safety Group provides some powered training courses to various road user groups. Proactive training is available to motorcyclists, those about to accompany a learner car driver and minibus drivers through the MiDAS Scheme.
Remedial training courses are available to those referred to the National Driver Improvement Scheme and the National Speed Awareness Course. These are both courses which include theory and practical training and are offered as an alternative to prosecution.
The Group also provides support to Approved Driving Instructors and also local businesses in dealing with Occupational Road Risk.
The Group has been involved in creating and developing various schemes over many years in its bid to help reduce road casualties.
