The office is open Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.00pm.
The Traffic and Safety Section is divided into four Groups and the Lancashire
Partnership for Road Safety:
Safety Engineering
Group
This Group is responsible for maintaining a record of all reported road casualties,
identifying common locations and causations type and implementing remedial
measures.
Network Management Group
This Group has responsibility for traffic regulation, highway development control,
traffic signal policy and driver information systems.
Road Safety Group
This Group delivers road safety education, training and publicity to all classes
of road user. It also has responsibility for the School Crossing Patrol Service
