Sharedwheels Logo (External) Shared Wheels is a website for people who live or work in Lancashire developed in partnership by Blackpool Council, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and Lancaster University. The aim of the website is to encourage people with similar journeys to register for car sharing in order to increase accessibility as well as helping to reduce traffic congestion and pollution.
As a business or organisation, you may be looking to develop a car share scheme as part of your travel plan.  Sharing a journey has a significant impact on vehicle numbers travelling to a site and offers a practical alternative to employees and visitors who don’t have adequate access to public transport.
