Rural services have been developed in Caton , Chipping , Dolphinholme , and Dunsop Bridge .

Each site now has a PC connected to the People’s Network for library members to access the internet and other Library on-line services.

You can order books, CDs and DVDs on line and have them delivered to these sites and also use the sites to return items you have borrowed from any Lancashire County Library branch.

This service is currently free and will be reviewed early in 2008 to assess the need to continue with the service.

Lancashire County Library and Information service has received funding to develop out reach library annd information services where no static library services exist.

The project is funded by the County Council, Lancashire Economic Partnership and the North West Development Agency.

To date the project has developed schemes in Chipping and Dolphinhome and are currently actively working with communities in Dunsop Bridge and Caton to develop more services.
