4. Scope and arrangement of the collection
The main local studies collection for the Fylde area is held at the St. Annes Library, but Lytham library holds a small collection of local studies material, chiefly books, relating to Lancashire in general and to the Fylde in particular. The collection, both reference and lending, is classified according to the Lancashire County Librarys Local Studies Classification scheme.
